| Processing of ampoules |
The manufacturing process for ampoules typically begins with a compact system. Ampoule compact systems are finished using sterile room equipment (on-site sterile room) or with the innovative isolator technology (machine sterile room). The containers are checked, labeled and end-packaged on subsequent machines. Bosch provides an individually configurable range of machinery for these applications for maximum production capacities of up to 27,000 ampoules per hour.

| Processing steps at a glance: |
Cleaning: reliable internal and external cleaning with the washing machines RRU or RQU.
Sterilization: drying and sterilizing tunnel HQL for sterilization and depyprogenation by the laminar flow principle. At the outfeed end the containers are transferred in batches on to the infeed belt of the filling and sealing machine.
Filling and sealing of:
Ampoules: filling and sealing machine ALF
Burn-open ampoules: filling and sealing machine ALF
Color ring marking: transition of the ampoules into the color code ring machine DRN, application of up to 4 color code rings with ink rollers, pushing of the ampoules into trays at the outfeed end of the line.
Subsequent processing steps:
Check for particle freedom and cosmetic defects
Check ampoules for impermeability with the inspection machine KLD
Application of a self-adhesive label with the labeling machine ERS
End packing of ampoules in thermoformed blisters, folding boxes and/or cartons cartoning machines.
